Refresh, Renew, Romance: Fantasy Suite Getaway at Arrive
Happy New Year, Party People! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday. Mine was lovely, but funny enough, with all the holiday parties, shopping excursions to get everyone the perfect gift, and reflecting on the year, I really needed a restful mini-holiday… So you can imagine my joy when I discovered Arrive in Palm Springs.
I’m always looking for new experiences and places to stay for a weekend escape, and Palm Springs is my go-to. Warm weather, blue skies, and some sort of magic there all conspire to leave me so relaxed and recharged after.
I got plenty used to hotel living back in my Bachelor days, but real life hotel living is nothing like that. These days, it’s more of the four R’s I care about: Robes, Relaxation, Room service, and of course Romance. Arrive Palm Springs is by far my favorite stop for a Fantasy Suite — and so much cozier without a camera crew setting up haha.
I spent this past weekend getting my rejuvenation on and must say that I am already counting down the days until I get back…
But speaking of Fantasy Suites, we’re back into a new season of The Bachelor and how about the first episode? It looks like Corinne is trying to set the record by getting right down to business in the first week. There’s no way these women are going to love watching Nick get close to someone so fast, even though Liz obviously has the first-hand knowledge about how Nick’s Fantasy Suite moves really are.
Will Corinne end up being the villain? It’s hard to say so early on, but I said it last season on JoJo’s journey with Chad: Villains seem to be getting both bigger and worse with each passing season and that makes me feel less and less like my records will remain standing… Phew.
All that’s to say, I’m ready for new changes in the new year, and happy to be starting mine off by getting some serious five-star service. They were nice enough to give me a little star treatment, and the moment I walked into Arrive, the vibe was just my style.
It’s all so perfectly, refreshingly decorated, like how I would make my real life apartment if I could just get my hands on a healthy chunk of change and someone with a flawless aesthetic. Mid-century modern decor is mixed with modern-modern touches. The mood lighting in the rooms is on point: It’s all vintage edison bulbs and even a personal fire pit on our private patio.
And a total clutch move is thick, drapey curtains that block out light when you want to sleep in or just tuck in for a nap — a must in Palm Springs, especially after spending the entire afternoon in the sun by the pool.
Plus, there are bikes, firepits, mountain views, ping pong tables, and a menu at a restaurant that is so far beyond your typical hotel food… We had it in mind that we would just stop by Arrive’s Restaurant, Reservoir, for breakfast, then take off for an excursion. But it was so good, we couldn’t help but each breakfast, lunch, and dinner in style to try out everything on their menus.
My very favorites were the acai bowl, Cap’n Crunch french toast, arugula salad, the spicy tuna, and the “All Day Burger.” Believe you me, honey, there is no need to leave the grounds to get an A+ dining experience. And speaking of grounds, their coffee shop, Customs Coffee, was the icing on the cake. I stocked up on organic coffee, something I am always wanting in my cup.
I could go on and on, but it’s already making me nostalgic, and looking back is no way to start a fresh year. Instead, I think I’ll just go ahead and plan another little getaway… Hope you find your own relaxing way to get 2017 started just right.
And hey, if Arrive is your pick, tell ‘em I sent ya!
